Dr Dishant Mahendru is the managing director of CamIn’s European office.
Dishant is responsible for establishing CamIn’s presence throughout Europe. He advises board-level executives on expanding their asset portfolios into new technology areas as part of their company’s ten year vision. Dishant is passionate about the impact of emerging technology, and enjoys working directly with clients that embrace innovation as part of their company’s culture. Through his personal experience working as an engineer in technology-driven industries, and through his interactions with executives from industrials, financial institutions, and consultancies, Dishant identified the most crucial decisions that executives must make when developing their technology strategy. He has advised a wide variety of companies—from start-ups to Fortune Global 1000 corporations—by leading expert consulting teams to find solutions for his clients’ most important challenges. His previous projects have involved leading teams of experts to scout for technological assets and map emerging technology sectors, to conduct due diligence for technology-driven M&As, and to develop strategies for early-stage commercialisation of new products. Dishant regularly shares his insights on how companies can maintain their competitive edge through investing in emerging technology by speaking at conferences and on industrial panels.
Outside of the office, Dishant enjoys learning about new cultures through traveling, cooking and the arts. He is fluent in Danish, Hindi, German, and English.

Dr Dirk Mersch
Dirk Mersch is the managing director of CamIn’s North American office.
Dirk is driving CamIn’s expansion into North America, and helps his clients address the region-specific grand challenges that their industries are facing. He is motivated by CamIn’s unique process, which directly connects his clients with current insights from the world’s leading scientific and industrial experts, instead of just providing general analyses of trends in technology, as other firms do. CamIn’s approach provides his clients with the actionable advice they need to cut through the hype surrounding emerging technologies and take advantage of the most lucrative opportunities. Through his work as a researcher at the University of Cambridge and his experience in various industrial collaborations, he recognised the key inefficiencies that impede the transfer of knowledge between research laboratories and corporate boardrooms. He has shared his insights on the sources of these inefficiencies and potential solutions in a recently published book chapter, and has been presenting on this topic on industrial panels. He possesses extensive experience related to emerging technologies used in the energy sector, and has led and worked on both private and publicly funded projects involving R&D strategy, technology feasibility, and product commercialisation.
When not in the office, Dirk enjoys participating in chess tournaments and in rowing competitions, and has been a long-time rowing coach at his Cambridge college. He is fluent in German, Russian, and English.
