Evaluating the technical characteristics and commercial potential of an innovative HVAC system
Our Client, a Corporate Finance division at one of the Big Four consulting firms, had identified an innovative system for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). This system had the potential to offer an energy saving, environmentally friendly alternative to existing technologies.
As the Client’s division primarily invested in technologies that were in the later stages of development, they did not have the expertise to perform the necessary technical due diligence on the system’s pre-prototype technology. Additionally, our Client was also new to the HVAC market, and wanted expert advice on the market segments and geographic regions where this system could be most effectively commercialised, and to understand the new system’s strengths and weaknesses compared to existing HVAC solutions.
The client chose to work with CamIn to get expert advice on the potential benefits and risks of this new technology.
